Welcome to the Department of Student Services. We are pleased to provide you with information about the many components of a department that strives to promote intervention and support services for all students. These components also focus on the academic, social, emotional and behavioral growth and success for students.
Currently, the Forest Hills School District supports approximately 900 students who are eligible for receiving special education services from pre-school to age 22. Additionally, many students also receive supports within other areas of the department that may include 504 Accommodation Plans, intervention, counseling services, medical and behavioral planning, safety, attendance and discipline.
Forest Hills School District is committed to locating children, ages birth - 21, who are residing in the district and suspected of having a disability. Forest Hills offers evaluation for all children with suspected disabilities, birth through 21, and education and appropriate services for all children with disabilities, ages 3 - 21. For more information, go to CHILD FIND.
