First appointed to a vacated seat on the Board of Education in 2005, Julie won her first bid for election in the fall of the same year.

Julie received her bachelor’s degree from Grove City College and her juris doctorate from Temple University Law School. She is currently the chief counsel of labor and employment for the City of Cincinnati.

Julie and her husband, Mark, have two children. One graduated from Anderson High School with the Class of 2009. The other attends classes at Nagel Middle School. She is a dedicated volunteer to both the Forest Hills School District and the community. Julie is a past president of the Forest Hills Council of PTAs and a long-time PTA member. Additionally she serves on the Boys / Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati Board of Trustees and has been active with various other groups including Community Chest.
