Earlier this summer, the Board of Education asked the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) to assess the current conditions of our existing school facilities. The assessments were completed in September and the OFCC has provided to the district the completed assessment reports and summary statements for each of our nine schools. The OFCC has also provided a demographic / enrollment projection report as well. The building reports and demographic/enrollment reports are all available under “Downloads” located on the right-hand side of this page.
Summary information based on the reports has also been provided by the OFCC for each of the buildings and on enrollment projection data. To download the summaries – Click Here
The above download includes: correspondence to Director of Business Operations Ray Johnson from the OFCC which references the renovation/replacement ratios; each building summary report; and the enrollment projection report. The enrollment report concludes that the district should pay close attention to future elementary school enrollment, community school and open enrollment, and any potential housing growth such as the 939 housing unit development being proposed for the Williams property located in the southeast portion of our district.
The OFCC will be providing a completed summary including a review of their assessments which is anticipated by early December.
