Forest Hills Achieves Decade of Excellence
Forest Hills is celebrating a decade of excellence. The Ohio Department of Education report card, which will be released publicly Aug. 27, rates Forest Hills School District as Excellent with Distinction for 2010. With this rating the district achieves a major milestone of being rated excellent or higher for 10 consecutive years.

New Web Page for Health Guidelines/Updates
In compliance with House Bill 1, which directs all Ohio school districts to put in place a policy safeguarding students from peanut or other food related health allergies and medically related conditions, the Forest Hills School District has adopted guidelines related to the management of food items in each of its buildings. This information will be provided to parents and school personnel prior to the start of the 2010-2011 school year and is also available for viewing on our website under Health Guidelines/Updates 2010-2011.

This page will be accessible from the Student Services Department page and from a link in the fly-out menu under Directors found across the top navigation bar of our website.

Seventh Grade Pilot Program Attracts Interest
The Forest Hills School District’s “Partnership for Powerful Learning” is currently featured in “The Journal – Transforming Education Through Technology.” Partnership for Powerful Learning is a pilot project that will allow all 7th grade students to bring in their personally owned laptop or other similar device to school beginning sometime early in 2011.
