Building A Brighter Future For Our Children...
The Sherwood Parent Teacher Association (PTA) works hard every year, bringing together parents, teachers, administrators and school board members to continually improve each child’s education. This “partnership” has helped our school district and our individual school both earn an “Excellent” rating from the Ohio Department of Education.
During the 2008-2009 school year, our volunteers accounted for nearly 6,200 volunteer hours. We are looking forward to another outstanding year of parent support and we invite you to continue your volunteer efforts, or become a first-time volunteer.
Sherwood P.T.A. truly believes that ... working together, we can achieve success for all our students!
How You Can Help:
Every parent can make a difference—in both BIG and small ways. Parents can volunteer in many capacities in the library, classroom and for any of the 43 PTA committees and programs. You can volunteer for as little or as much as you have time to give. Some volunteer opportunities are one-time needs, while others are ongoing.
Please take a look at the opportunities available to you (listed in the “Committee” section), and complete the Volunteer Interest Form. PTA meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month beginning at 7 p.m. in the Sherwood Cafeteria. Meeting attendance is encouraged but not required.
If you would like to talk about PTA or any of the volunteer opportunities, please call me at 231-6515 or e-mail me at rcorsmeier@cinci.rr.com. Thank you for your continued support and interest in the works of the Sherwood PTA.
