Forest Hills Council of PTAs Ready for 5K
The Forest Hills Council of PTAs showed its enthusiasm for the upcoming Forest Hills 5K by wearing their race shirts to a recent meeting. The third annual 5k is 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 19, and starts and finishes at Nagel Middle School. For information or to register for the race visit http://www.foresthills5k.com/

Olympic Day Fun
Forest Hills School District sixth-graders came together for a day of sports and fun during the annual Olympic Day held at Anderson High School. Meet the Maddux PTA Volunteers of the Year
Congratulations to Kristin Hagenbarth, Colleen Berliner, and Terri Friedrich
on their recent recognition by the Forest Hills Board of Education as PTA Volunteers of the Year at Maddux. Principal Steve Troehler presented the three women for recognition.

Maddux Quilts From the Heart
Maddux Elementary School students presented 14 handmade quilts to Anderson Township Fire and Rescue during a recent ceremony at the school. The quilts will be distributed to local community members who are displaced during a fire, flood, or other type of emergency.

Eight FHSD Schools Earn Energy Star Certification
Forest Hills School District has earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ENERGY STAR certification for eight of its nine buildings. The rating signifies that each building performs in the top 25 percent of similar facilities nationwide for energy efficiency and meets strict energy efficiency performance levels set by the EPA.
