Counseling
Anderson students live in an increasingly diverse and mobile society with new technologies and expanding opportunities. To help ensure they are prepared to become the next generation of parents, workers, leaders and citizens, the AHS Counseling Department provides support and guidance to help students develop academically and emotionally. As students learn about who they are and determine their post-graduation plans, counselors provide information and opportunities to help students make these decisions. As educators with a mental health perspective, counselors understand and help students respond to the pressures in their lives and navigate the journey of college, scholarship, job and financial aid application processes. In short, counselors align and work with the FHSD mission to engage and empower all students as so they excel in the ever-changing 21st century.
