Grades

GRADING SCALE, GRADE POINT AVERAGE AND CLASS RANK 

Class rank is based upon cumulative grade point average and is determined at the conclusion of each semester. Rank reflects all members of the class and all grades earned. The following grading scale is used and, in determining rank, the following point values are given:

Students who enroll in a weighted class and earn a grade of C- or higher will have 0.025 or 0.0125, depending on the course, added to their grade point average each semester. The grades and class rank of students who are new to Forest Hills School District will be converted to this system. Only those classes weighted at Forest Hills School District will be weighted in determining the student’s GPA.
