Beloved FHSD Student Touched Many Lives

It is with a heavy heart that we share the painful news that Anderson High School student, Jeremy Bernstein, died due to medical complications Sunday, April 25, 2021.  Jeremy battled complex medical needs for several years including during his time as an ESC student. Peer helpers and staff developed close relationships with him.  In addition to Anderson, Jeremy attended Mercer preschool, Ayer Elementary, and Nagel Middle School.  Jeremy touched many lives within the district, from staff to students.

AHS is utilizing the FHSD Traumatic Event Crisis Intervention Plan (TECIP) which includes support from district staff, school counselors, school psychologists, and other mental health professionals.  Our FHSD TECIP team has a plan to address students' immediate needs and will do so on an ongoing basis.
