His expertise and leadership were great assets to Forest Hills this past year and I’m pleased to have him continue as a member of our team in his new position,” said Frooman. “I look forward to growing as a team while focusing on improving our facilities and academic programs while supporting our students, staff and residents.”
The Board of Education also welcomed Elizabeth Barber and Demetria (Dee Dee) Choice who were both elected to the Board in November and sworn in during the Jan. 3 meeting.
Additional Board appointments included designating Heis as the Tax Incentive Review Council representative, Barber as the safety community representative, Choice as the student achievement liaison and Smith as the legislative liaison and Forest Hills Foundation for Education liaison.
“This Board of Education is comprised of individuals who are committed to the growth and advancement of our students, staff and district,” said Scot. T Prebles, superintendent. “They work earnestly to look at every decision with care and precision, always thinking of the future of our district.”
The Board of Education also adopted a meeting schedule for 2018. Meetings will be held on the fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the learning commons of Nagel Middle School, 1500 Nagel Road, unless otherwise noted.
