Forest Hills School District provides a comprehensive school counseling program based on the American School Counselor Association’s National Standards. Maddux Elementary’s school counselor, Paige Francis works to empower students to make decisions that promote academic achievement, social well-being, career readiness, and life-long learning. With a bachelor’s degree from Miami University and a master’s degree from University of the Cumberlands, Kate can support students through life or school transitions and changes (such a divorce, remarriage, death, and changing schools), as well as help with study and organizational skills, friendship development, bullying, stress management, and future planning.
Students can confidentially meet with Kate in small groups, as a class or individually. To meet with Kate, students or parents can call, email, send in a note, ask for a meeting in person.
