BIDS FOR SCHOOL BUSES

Separate, sealed proposals for each of the requirements set forth below will be received at the office of the Treasurer of the Board of Education of the Forest Hills Local School District, 7946 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45255, Hamilton County, until 1:00 PM local time, Wednesday,

September 12, 2018.  Bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after closing time for said bids.

Sealed bids are requested for eleven (11) 72 passenger conventional school buses.

Bid package will be for newly manufactured buses, each of which must meet the below referenced minimum specifications.  Bid is to be for a complete unit bus.

All bidding shall be in accordance with Section 3313.46 of the Ohio Revised Code.

The bids will state that the buses, when assembled and prior to delivery, comply with all school district specifications, all safety regulations and current Ohio Minimum Standards for School Bus Construction of the Department of Education adopted by and with the consent of the Directors of Highway Safety pursuant to Section 4511.76 of the Revised Code, as well as meeting the latest minimum standards set by federal legislation or regulations.

Copies of the specifications, instructions to bidders, and proposal forms may be obtained at the office of the Transportation Supervisor, 7600 Forest Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45255.  Telephone:  (513) 231-3335.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a bond for 100% of the amount of the bid, or a certified check, cashier’s check, or a letter of credit equal to 10% of the bid.

Factors the Forest Hills Local School District will consider shall include, but will not be limited to, reference checks with previous clients and the prior relationship with the Forest Hills Local School District.

Said Board of Education reserves the right to waive formalities, to accept or reject any and all, or parts of any and all bids.

The successful bidders will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond for 100% of the contract price.

The successful bidders will be required to complete a delinquent personal property tax affidavit.
