Board of Education names Anderson High School principal
May 4, 2017
During a May 4 special meeting, the Forest Hills Board of Education approved the recommendation of Scot T. Prebles, superintendent, to name Rob Fellows as the new Anderson High School principal, effective August 1. He will replace Mike Overbey, current AHS principal, who accepted the assistant superintendent position for West Clermont Local Schools.
Fellows joined the AHS leadership team in 2014 and, for the past year, has served as associate principal assisting in curriculum development and overseeing testing, the continuous improvement process and Response to Intervention initiatives, among other projects. Prior to joining the Anderson team, Fellows served as assistant principal at Wilson Elementary in Forest Hills.
“I am excited to continue working alongside the amazing staff, students and parent community of Anderson High School,” said Fellows. “We have so many wonderful things happening around us and I am confident we will continue to grow in the areas of academics, performing arts, athletics and other extracurricular activities.”
Fellows’ history with Anderson long extends his three years on the leadership team; his grandfather, Robert Kendall, graduated from Anderson in 1941.
“My grandfather’s education at Anderson provided the foundation for his future success as a senior decorator at Closson’s in downtown Cincinnati.”
Moving forward, the district will work to fill the vacant associate principal position at Anderson that was held by Fellows.
“Mr. Fellows is devoted to meeting the needs and expectations of students, staff, parents and community members. I am confident he will make a seamless transition as principal of Anderson and will continue the school’s tradition of excellence,” said Scot T. Prebles, superintendent.
