Forest Hills selects new treasurer

During its May 21 regular meeting, the Forest Hills Board of Education announced the selection of Alana Cropper as the district’s new treasurer. Final details of her employment contract, including start date, will be approved during the Board’s regular June 25 meeting.
With a financial career spanning nearly 40 years, she currently serves as the treasurer in West Clermont Local Schools. In that role, she was responsible for all aspects of the financial operations of the district including building project budget management, local government and not-for-profit partnerships, financial communication, legislation monitoring and working with the district’s health consortium. A recipient of numerous financial awards from the Government Finance Officers Association and the Association of School Business Officials, she has also served as the Winton Woods City Schools treasurer; a management consultant for Ernst & Young and school treasurers consortiums in Hamilton, Butler and Montgomery counties; the assistant auditor for the Ohio Auditor of State; and regional director, treasurer and president of the Ohio Association of School Business Officials.
Cropper earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky and her master’s degree in business administration from Xavier University. She also holds certifications as a public accountant and school treasurer with the State of Ohio.
