The Forest Hills Board of Education holds its regularly scheduled meeting once a month in public to provide the opportunity for the community to observe discussions relating to the business of the district. Resident participation is welcomed as outlined here.

2025 Board of Education Meeting Schedule

Meetings that are live-streamed can be viewed on our YouTube channel. You can find meeting agendas and minutes on the FHSD BoardDocs website. Regular meetings of the Board of Education are held at 6:30 p.m. in the Mercer Elementary School auditorium, 2600 Bartels Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45244. They will be held on the third Wednesday of the month, unless otherwise noted with an asterisk (*).

Meeting Postings, Minutes and Agendas

  • The FHSD Board of Education will hold its 2025 regular meetings on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at Mercer Elementary School, 2600 Bartels Road, Cincinnati, OH 45244, unless otherwise noted. Please view the official notice here for specific dates.
  • The FHSD Board of Education will hold its Fall 2025 committee meetings at the Central Office, 7846 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45255. Please view the official notice here for specific purposes for each committee meeting and to find additional details. The dates and times of the committee meetings are:
    • Human Resources Committee - Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 4:30 p.m.
    • Policy Committee - Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 10 a.m.
    • Teaching and Learning Committee - Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 4:30 p.m.
    • Finance Committee - Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 4 p.m.
    • Technology and Facilities Committee - Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 6 p.m.
  • Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 6:15 p.m. at the Mercer Elementary Cafeteria. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to comply with ORC 3313.48 (HB59) requirements regarding adoption of school district calendar: Not later than thirty (30) days prior to adopting a school calendar, the Board shall hold a public hearing on the school calendar, addressing topics that include, but are not limited to, the total number of hours in a school year, length of school day, and beginning and end dates of instruction. On October 15, 2025, the FHSD Academic Calendars for 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 will be available for public review on the FHSD website. Related questions can be emailed to contact@foresthills.edu. This calendar will be presented for board approval at the November regular meeting. You can view the official notice here.
  • The FHSD Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 6 p.m. at Central Office, 7946 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45255. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the OSBA delegate assembly platform amendments and to go into executive session to discuss the employment of public officials. Executive Session

As permitted by Ohio law, during meetings, the Board may call an executive session to discuss personnel, property purchases, pending legal action, employee negotiations or security. The Board may only discuss items of this nature and are not permitted to vote or take other action during executive sessions. No other topics may be discussed in executive sessions.

Business Advisory Council Summary

Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 3313.821, the Greater Cincinnati Business Advisory Council (GCBAC) developed a plan and subsequently filed that plan with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.

The GCBAC plan not only represents the work of the Hamilton County and Clermont County ESCs but also 34 local school districts, the governing boards of which connected to GCBAC through passage of representation agreements. 

In accordance with provisions of ORC 3313.821, GCBAC has issued a Joint Statement that provides the following types of information:

  1. Meetings conducted by the council;
  2. The council’s plan and implementation progress;
  3. Brief summaries of specific activities the council conducted;
  4. The nature of the council’s advice and recommendations, if any, on needed employment skills and curriculum development to instill those skills;
  5. The nature of the council’s advice and recommendations, if any, on economic and job market changes and the types of employment in which future jobs are most likely to be available; and
  6. The nature of the council’s advice and suggestions, if any, for developing working relationships among businesses, labor organizations and educational personnel.
