Meetings

The Forest Hills Board of Education holds its regularly scheduled meeting once a month in public to provide the opportunity for the community to observe discussions relating to the business of the district. Resident participation is welcomed as outlined here.

2023 Board of Education Meeting Schedule

Meetings that are live-streamed can be viewed on our YouTube channel. You can find meeting agendas and minutes on the FHSD BoardDocs website. Regular meetings of the Board of Education are held in the Mercer Elementary School auditorium. They will be held on the third Wednesday of the month, unless otherwise noted with an asterisk (*).

  • The FHSD Board of Education regular meetings for 2023 will be held at Mercer Elementary School, 2600 Bartels Road, Cincinnati, OH 45244 on the third Wednesday of the month, unless otherwise noted. Please view the official notice here.
  • The FHSD Board of Education will hold a Special Meeting on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Central Office Building 7946 Beechmont, Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45255. The Board will enter executive session to meet with Board Legal Counsel to discuss disputes involving the Board and/or School District that are the subject of pending or imminent court action. Executive Session

As permitted by Ohio law, during meetings, the Board may call an executive session to discuss personnel, property purchases, pending legal action, employee negotiations or security. The Board may only discuss items of this nature and are not permitted to vote or take other action during executive sessions. No other topics may be discussed in executive sessions.

Business Advisory Council Summary

Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 3313.821, the Business Advisory Council (BAC) of Hamilton County Educational Service Center (HCESC) in conjunction with Great Oaks Business Advisory Council developed a plan and subsequently filed that plan with the Ohio Department of Education.

The HCESC BAC plan not only represents the work of the ESC but also 16 of its member districts, the governing boards of which connected to HCESC’s BAC through passage of representation agreements. 

In accordance with provisions of ORC 3313.821, HCESC’s BAC has issued a Joint Statement that provides the following types of information:

  1. Meetings conducted by the council;
  2. The council’s plan and implementation progress;
  3. Brief summaries of specific activities the council conducted;
  4. The nature of the council’s advice and recommendations, if any, on needed employment skills and curriculum development to instill those skills;
  5. The nature of the council’s advice and recommendations, if any, on economic and job market changes and the types of employment in which future jobs are most likely to be available; and
  6. The nature of the council’s advice and suggestions, if any, for developing working relationships among businesses, labor organizations and educational personnel.
