Jeff Nye and his wife Abby, a physician, live in Anderson Township with their two kids, both of whom are current Forest Hills School District students. His kids are active in dance, art, soccer, music and more, and Jeff has been volunteering in FHSD schools since 2014. He is a lawyer in the Anderson Township office of SSP Law, where he practices civil, commercial and real estate litigation and appeals. He has served on the board of the Forest Hills Foundation for Education, the Anderson Township Board of Zoning Appeals and other non-profits. He speaks regularly to bar associations and other organizations about court reform and First Amendment issues, and he has testified multiple times as a subject matter expert about those topics in both the Ohio House and Ohio Senate. Jeff earned his law degree from the University of Cincinnati and his undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University. He grew up in northeast Ohio on a miniature donkey farm. In his spare time he enjoys bird photography, competitive trivia and traveling, especially to national parks. Current term: 2026-2030 (Originally elected in Nov. 2025)

headshot of Dr. Wendy Strickler

Dr. Wendy Strickler is an Associate Professor in Reading Science and Director of Teacher Advancement Programs at Mount St. Joseph University. She has a PhD from University of Cincinnati and Curriculum Instruction and Professional Development license from Miami of Ohio. Prior to joining the MSJ faculty, Wendy worked in PreK-12 education for more than 20 years. Her experiences include District Lead Psychologist, coordinating Multi-Tiered System of Supports, coordinating ESL services, supervising psychologists, and providing staff professional development and coaching in reading, mathematics, instruction, and behavior. She worked as an educational consultant, supporting school districts in southwest Ohio to implement evidence-based reading practices in grades Pre-K through high school within a Response to Intervention model. Prior to these consulting roles, Dr. Strickler worked as a school psychologist and an intervention consultant throughout the Cincinnati area. Her career started teaching preschool for children with developmental disabilities at a lab school in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Strickler is excited to serve on the Forest Hills School Board on behalf of students, families, and the community. Current term: 2024-2027 (Originally elected in Nov. 2023)

Dr. Jason Simmons is an Associate Professor of Sport Administration at the University of Cincinnati, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate classes in sport marketing and research methods. His research focuses on sport consumer behavior with a focus on this intersection of sport and family. Jason earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Organizational Development with a concentration in Sport Administration from the University of Louisville in 2011, and his Master's degree in Sport Administration from Louisville in 2007. Jason lives in Anderson Township with his wife, son, and three dogs. He regularly volunteers in the community as a youth sports coach, at his son's school events, and as a dive team coordinator at Forest Hills Swim Club in the summers. Jason enjoys playing soccer and sand volleyball, and can be found at Paycor stadium in the fall cheering on the Bengals with his son. Current term: 2024-2027 (Originally elected in Nov. 2023)

Erin Walczewski is a lawyer, educator and Forest Hills School District parent. As a practicing attorney, she specializes in nonprofit organizations’ governance and strategy. She is responsible for the management of her law firm’s transactional pro bono practice globally, which advises nearly 500 nonprofit organizations plus small businesses and social enterprises. She has also been an educator for 20+ years, currently as a lecturer at Harvard Law School, and spent 11 years as an academic and pre-professional advisor at Harvard College. She and her husband Luke are active volunteers in Forest Hills with a son and a daughter in multiple sports and arts and music programs, as well as two active nieces at Anderson High School and a nephew who graduated from Anderson. Beyond FHSD schools, Erin’s volunteer work includes advising military veteran entrepreneurs, coordinating donations to nonprofits and serving on the board of directors for nonprofits. Erin earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Truman State University as valedictorian and her Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School. For fun, she enjoys board games, roller coasters, travel, hiking, movies and watching more boys’ and girls’ volleyball than she ever thought possible. Jeremy Ward earned his Master of Education degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2010, and his Bachelor of Education degree in Integrated Science Education from Ohio University in 2003. He moved to Anderson Township in 2006 with his wife, Nicole, and their two daughters are currently students at Anderson High School and Maddux Elementary School. Jeremy has been a high school science teacher in Loveland, Ohio since 2007, previously teaching science in the Ninth Grade Academy at Milford High School from 2003-2007. Jeremy has taught AP physics, physical science, biology and physical science, and currently teaches a project-based physics course. Jeremy has many years of experience coaching high school basketball and baseball in the Cincinnati area, lately however he can be found coaching on the youth fields around town and attending his own children’s athletics and arts events. Jeremy grew up in Genoa, Ohio, a small community east of Toledo near Lake Erie, and enjoys fishing, hiking, cooking and reading. Current term: 2026-2030 (Originally elected in Nov. 2025)
