Food Allergies

Food allergies are a potential life threatening medical problem. The parents, student, school nurse and school staff will work together to provide a safe environment for each student with a food allergy.

At the beginning of each school year, or at the time of enrollment, parents are responsible for communicating any special needs of their child, including food allergies, to the district. Substitutions to regular, district-provided school meals will be made for students who are unable to eat regular meals due to a qualifying dietary need when that need is certified in writing by the student’s physician.

Questions regarding food allergies and accommodations should be directed to Tia Straus, Food Service Supervisor, at (513) 231- 3215 or tiastraus@foresthills.edu.
