Free and Reduced Price Family Meals
Students need healthy meals to learn. Forest Hills offers healthy meals to all students, and works to ensure family finances are not a barrier to a nutritious meal for children. Students in households receiving benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Ohio Works First (OWF) benefits can receive free school meals regardless of income. Children can also receive free meals if the household’s gross income is within the free limits on the Federal Income Guidelines.
You can view the Federal Income Guidelines for the 2023-2024 school year on the USDA website here.
Please remember that families will need to reapply for Free and Reduced-Price School Meals every school year to determine elegibility.
The applications can be submitted after July 1 and need to be approved before FHSD is allowed to waive lunch fees. By applying online, parents will receive an immediate response regarding qualification. If financial circumstances change during the year, families are able to apply at any time for Free and Reduced-Price School Meals.
