FHSD Hosts Final Parent Academy of the School Year on February 19
FHSD will host its third and final Parent Academy of the 2025-2026 school year! The evening will feature a variety of timely and relevant topics designed to support families.
Parent Academy will take place on Thursday, February 19 at Nagel Middle School from 6:30-8 p.m. Explore the offered topics for the evening and register here.
Programming and topics for Parent Academy are determined by the Teaching and Learning team based on feedback from past participants with the goal of providing practical, meaningful information to families. February’s Parent Academy session includes topics such as Artificial Intelligence, preparing for the college admissions process, staying organized with Google tools and much more.
This series is generously sponsored by the Forest Hills Foundation for Education, which also allows for a light meal and childcare for families in attendance.
The February Parent Academy session includes two featured presentations:
- “Why Won’t My Kids Listen?” | Beech Acres Parenting Center will guide a conversation about communication, covering communications techniques that foster connection and improve listening skills between families and their children.
- “AI - What does this mean for your child at home and at school” | The Digital Balance Project will discuss Artificial Intelligence and its impact on our children via digital devices and social media. Attendees are asked to complete this questionnaire beforehand to help guide the session.
