Anderson, Turpin Students Collect Numerous Accolades at the 2026 Ed Rising Ohio State Conference
Students in Anderson High School’s and Turpin High School’s Educators Rising program made an impressive showing at the 2026 Educators Rising Ohio State Conference on March 3 and 4. More than 800 students competed at the conference and more than 1,000 students attended, which is the largest state conference for AHS and THS and makes their results all the more impressive. Both AHS’s and THS’s programs accumulated around 40 recognitions combined. Additionally, the programs were recognized as an Honor Chapter. Turpin was one of three chapters that participated in the Educators Rising Ohio Service Project, which was a book drive.
Aspiring educators at FHSD high schools have the opportunity to explore the teaching profession through Educators Rising, a co-curricular program that coincides with Teacher Academy at Anderson and Teaching Professions Academy at Turpin. Both programs allow students to develop teaching skills and gain hands-on practice alongside in-school instruction. These students also have the opportunity to attend the Educators Rising State Conference to compete for various accolades.
