Forest Hills School District is proud to share that all six elementary schools and Nagel Middle School are ranked among the top K-8 schools in the state of Ohio by U.S. News and World Report. The organization rated Nagel in the top 6% out of more than 2,500 middle schools listed. FHSD elementary schools, including Ayer, Maddux, Mercer, Sherwood, Summit and Wilson, placed in the top 14% out of more than 3,000 elementary schools listed.

“These exceptional ratings honor all of our elementary schools as well as Nagel Middle School,” said Superintendent Suzanna Davis. “They stand as a testament to the dedication of our teachers, staff and students, highlighting the strong educational foundation that prepares students for long-term achievement. While we always appreciate and are grateful for recognitions like this, our educators strive to go beyond the ratings to provide a world class educational experience that empowers all students to achieve personal success each day.”

These rankings add to a series of recent accolades for the district, including a 5-star rating on the Ohio State Report Card and Maddux Elementary School's recognition as a National Gold Star School by the National Association of Elementary School Principals.

Anderson and Turpin High Schools were also recently ranked in the top 6% of high schools in Ohio. The separate report revealed that out of more than 1,000 schools in the state, Turpin placed 19th in Ohio and Anderson placed 44th.
