Go All In for the Community This October
The All In Food Drive, coordinated by the Forest Hills Council, returns to Forest Hills School District! During the month of October, FHSD schools will be collecting non-perishable items for IPM Food Pantry to help local families in need. Collection dates vary from school to school, so please check school communication for the exact days to donate items. Community members can also bring donations to FHSD Central Office to participate!
How to Donate
Students & Families
Each school conducts their collection a little differently. Students can bring their donations to school with them during collection and place them in the designated drop spot, or, if schools have an Amazon Wish List, families may donate directly through that shared link.
Families & Community Members
Anderson High School student volunteers will be stationed at the Anderson Kroger all day on Saturdays and Sundays, beginning on October 3, to collect groceries and monetary donations. Students will have a specific shopping list for customers to use while purchasing items and then will collect those items as customers leave the store.
Community members can also bring donations to FHSD Central Office (7946 Beechmont Avenue) if they would like to participate in the collection. The office is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
When to Donate
Collections will take place in mid-October. Exact dates are different at each school, so it is important to watch school communication for this information. The last day to contribute across the district will be October 21, as this is when all donations will be picked up from the schools.
What to Donate
Forest Hills Council is encouraging families to donate specific items according to their school, which helps diversify the donations that IPM receives.
Anderson
Anderson plays a special role in the All In Food Drive, conducting a month-long collection of food items, which culminates with the packing of thousands of Power Packs during Freshman Day of Service on October 21. Families can shop the Amazon Wish List and have items shipped directly to AHS!
